Mt. Wood, june lake

After doing Mt. Wood three years ago in the spring, i was left wondering what powder mid winter conditions would be like. My questions were answered by quickly with a resounding yeeeee as Buck, Zach and I dropped from the lookers right flank of Mt. Wood and shredded the snow off the face. This was a longer day, as the approach had to begin from where the road was closed close to June Lake. In the spring the June Lake loop opens cutting off a mile or two.
