After Buck and I met up in mammoth, the weather gods blessed us with around a foot of freshies in the upper elevations so we decided the most preferable line would be the bloody couloir. This line is relatively sheltered and I knew it was quite filled in already so we started at the trailhead at 8 and after overtaking a snowmobile skiing crew that had left before us we jetted up lauren lakes road. Getting to the base of the couloir in good time we were able to skin up past 11,000 in the couloir before it finally became to steep. After a solid bootpack up most of the couloir we turned around a few hundred feet from the top as the visibility was dropping the the snow conditions were deteriorating. The descent was all time: blower powder, no tracks, and lots of high fives. Hopefully we will be able to jump on this again soon. See the video at Bloody Mountain
